This award-winning piece was made as a challenge for a black and white exhibition, using only black and white inks to make the grey tones. Solstice Eve has grasses hand printed on tissue pigmented with fiber dye and chalk pastel. Pastel pencil enhances the printed images. It is mounted without glass on an in-frame panel.
